Sigma Inc. is seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist for a 7-week onsite contract assignment supporting the Commonwealth of Massachusetts – Executive Office of the Trial Court in Boston, MA.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in reception, front desk operations, administrative support, clerical work, customer service, call handling, or office support who enjoy interacting with the public and providing exceptional service in a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary receptionist for the Trial Court's main phone line.
- Answer and route incoming calls to the appropriate departments and personnel.
- Respond to general public inquiries regarding court operations and services.
- Provide professional customer service while assisting callers and visitors.
- Retrieve and distribute department mail to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain and update scheduling for the HR conference room.
- Retrieve, update, and organize employee file information as requested by HR staff.
- Support administrative and clerical functions within the Human Resources department.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Front Desk, Clerical Support, Office Assistant, or Customer Service role.
- Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Preferred:
- Previous Human Resources support experience.
- Experience working in government, legal, court, public service, or administrative office environments.
