Compensation: $50/hr

Project Background

Our client is integrating multiple loan systems into its enterprise reconciliation platform and is seeking a Reconciliations Consultant to support the remainder of the project. This resource will help drive testing, reconciliation validation, reporting, and implementation activities through go-live and stabilization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong loan system knowledge, accounting expertise, reconciliation experience, and reporting capabilities. Candidates with banking industry experience and a proven ability to step into ongoing projects will be highly successful in this role.

Job Description

The Reconciliations Consultant will support complex loan and lease accounting reconciliations while assisting with a large-scale system implementation effort. This individual will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate reporting, successful testing, and reconciliation integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Reconciliations & Accounting Support

• Reconcile loan and lease accounting systems used for monthly certifications and reporting.
• Support high-volume reconciliations related to loan balances and transactional activity.
• Validate reconciled data to support certification and regulatory requirements.
• Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies across multiple systems.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Perform data analysis across multiple source systems.
• Track and validate data throughout implementation and testing activities.
• Support reporting requirements tied to reconciliations and project milestones.
• Utilize SQL to analyze and validate large data sets.

Project & System Implementation

• Support system implementation and conversion activities.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test execution, and validation.
• Assist with project lifecycle activities including testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Support data validation and reconciliation platform conversion efforts.
• Help transition project activities from testing to production readiness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams.
• Coordinate activities across business and technical stakeholders.
• Assist with business requirements validation and testing deliverables.
• Support a high-volume, project-driven environment requiring strong organization and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Banking industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with accounting systems and reconciliations.
• Background in loan and lease accounting.
• Strong data analysis experience.
• SQL knowledge.
• Experience supporting system implementations and conversions.
• Hands-on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business teams.
• PeopleSoft General Ledger exposure.
• Experience managing project activities and coordinating multiple priorities.
• Ability to join an active project and quickly contribute.
