Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position provides patron services within assigned program or facility areas.

Performs front-line, day-to-day services in any combination of the following divisions:
Childcare
Climbing Wall
Maintains order and overall control in assigned program area; monitor participants within program area.
Monitors and maintains the overall appearance and functionality of facilities, venues, and program areas to provide safe conditions for patrons and staff; performs maintenance tasks, remedies safety concerns, and communicates any issues to a supervisor.
Ensures all required documentation is completed.
Assists with opening, closing, and inventory procedures as needed.
Responds to emergency situations and assists in the evacuation of program area. Accurately completes incident reports as needed.
Ensures compliance with Town and Departmental policies and procedures.
Reports suspected abuse cases to supervisor and the appropriate governing bodies.
Assists in setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, A/V equipment, sports, or recreation equipment for events, programs, and rentals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performs safety orientations and ensures all climbing wall users are classified and capable of climbing.
Performs instruction in safe and proper climbing wall use, assists climbers during supervised climbing times.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Must be at least Eighteen (18) years of age.
Possession of or the ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.

Tools & Equipment
Requires frequent use of general cleaning equipment and supplies as well as small hand tools.
Physical Demands
Requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, handling, feeling or operating objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Requires occasional reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing. Requires moderate physical activity with heavy lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds. Requires close and distance vision acuity and the ability to adjust focus, allowing a broad field of vision.
Environment
Work is frequently performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but employees holding this position may be exposed to extreme cold or heat and wetness/humidity. The noise level is usually high and may range from moderate to extreme. The employee may occasionally work with or around hazardous items or hazardous conditions such as mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, chemicals, or radiant energy.
In order to ensure the safety of the public and reduce the risk for loss, background screenings are completed on applicants selected for employment, internship opportunities and safety sensitive volunteer positions. All positions are subject to a basic screening process including but not limited to criminal history search, reference check, degree and employment verification. In addition to the basic screening process, other screenings may include but are not limited to: Drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation, credit report and/or physical examination.

Hiring Range: $16.00-17.48 hourly
Full Salary Range: $16.00-$20.27 hourly
As a part-time Town of Parker employee, you have limited access to benefits which include: employee assistance program (EAP), one (1) hour of sick time accrued for every thirty (30) hours worked, and employee plus one (1) other member in your household a membership to the Parker Recreation Center and/or Fieldhouse.
