**Job Summary:**
Gateway Special Recreation Association is looking for a part-time Recreation Leader to join their team. The Recreation Leader will assist in organizing special events, after school programs, child development, and fitness programs for individuals with disabilities.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct service and support to children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
- Report to the Program Coordinator for each recreation program.
- Work weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as weekend days and evenings.
- Engage participants in various activities to enhance leisure and social skills.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for program participants.
- Uphold the mission and values of the Association.

**Qualifications Required:**
- Prefer 2-5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a recreation, community agency, school, or employment setting.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license (for staff 21 years of age and over).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Clear CHIRP and CANTS background checks.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals up to 75 lbs.
- Positive and upbeat personality.

**Schedule:** Part-time position with work on evenings and weekends.

**Wage:** $15.00 per hour.
