LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an HR Specialist/Recruiter to support our manufacturing client based in the Pierceton, Indiana metro area.

HR Specialist/Recruiter

Job Summary

Responsible for human resources related activities to support and develop company in the areas of recruitment and selection. Responsible for updating job descriptions and performing quarterly audits to ensure job descriptions are kept current.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Involvement with all phases of recruitment and selection.

• Assist with manpower planning and evaluating current staffing needs.

• Coordinate internal and external advertisements of all openings, the use of employment agencies, and career fair participation.

• Screen applications and resumes, complete reference checks.

• Responsible to staff hourly positions in a timely and cost-effective manner with quality candidates. Assist with interviewing and selecting salaried candidates.

• Assist in creation of job descriptions.

• Provide input into customer surveys requesting employment data.

• Assist with special projects in all other areas within Human Resources as requested.

Education

• Min/Preferred Education Level Description

• Minimum High School or GED

• Preferred 2 Year / associate degree in business or related field

Experience

• Years of Experience Comments

• 0-3 years in administrative role

• 3-5 years of human resources experience

KSA's

• Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, effectively with co-workers; respond to employee requests, with high level of patience, diplomacy and tact. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide overall employee satisfaction

• Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills, with attention to detail

• Ability to show discretion in working with highly confidential issues is required

• Effective problem-solving skills

Primary Responsibilities/what does a typical day:

• Post jobs

• Prescreen candidates

• Set up interviews

• Sit in interview

• Work w hiring team to execute offers

• Work job fairs

• Prepare documents for orientations

• Help to manage employee files

Experience/soft skills must have vs nice to have:

• Manufacturing recruiting experience

• Some basic HR knowledge

• Knowledge of California Employment Laws

Software, and technical skills required vs preferred:

• They use SAP Success Factors - but not required

Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
