Job Summary: Facilitates and teaches American Red Cross courses per the standard as scheduled by the Red Cross Coordinator. Duties/Responsibilities: - Facilitates ARC courses by setting up blended learning and course records.
- Teaches ARC courses including Lifeguard, CPR, BLS, Babysitting, and Wilderness First Aid.
- Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with UVAC policies, procedures, and the 'safe-in-six' model. Completes related reports as required.
- Maintains effective, positive relationships with patrons and other staff.
- Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.
- Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings. Occasionally lead in-service training.
- Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and, as appropriate, refers students and parents to other programs.
- Maintains records as required.
- Follows all UVAC policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Returns phone calls and answers patron's questions as needed. Communicates with participants throughout the process.
- Understand the online registration process to assist participants in completing registration.
- Other tasks as assigned.
