We are seeking an experienced Refrigerated Warehouse & Distribution Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, oversee distribution activities, and manage a team within a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can effectively direct employees, maintain operational efficiency, and take an active role in learning and supporting established warehouse processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, staging, loading, and shipping.
- Supervise, coach, schedule, and hold warehouse employees and support personnel accountable across multiple shifts.
- Maintain an active presence on the warehouse floor, working closely with employees to understand operations, resolve issues, and support productivity.
- Learn established workflows and collaborate with experienced personnel to identify opportunities for practical operational improvements.
- Oversee outbound distribution activities, including routing, dispatch, fleet scheduling, carrier coordination, and delivery performance.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, lot tracking, product rotation, shrink prevention, and organized storage practices.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and customer delivery requirements are met.
- Support food safety, sanitation, temperature control, product handling, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Plan staffing, communicate workload expectations, coordinate overtime, and respond to changing operational priorities.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks while reinforcing safe work practices, effective communication, and consistent execution.
QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of management experience in refrigerated or frozen warehousing, food distribution, cold-chain logistics, or related perishable operations.
- Experience in meat, poultry, protein, or foodservice distribution is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success supervising warehouse employees and managing performance, scheduling, communication, and accountability.
- Hands-on leadership experience with the ability to work alongside employees, learn operational processes, and establish productive working relationships.
- Experience overseeing receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of distribution functions, including dispatch, routing, fleet coordination, or delivery scheduling.
- Understanding of inventory systems, warehouse management systems, route planning, and Microsoft Office or similar business applications.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, temperature control, and proper handling procedures for perishable products.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work fully onsite in a multi-shift operation, including early-morning hours, schedule adjustments, and extended hours when necessary.
