Transform the everyday with us!

This senior individual-contributor role is part of our Indirect Procurement organization and follows a hybrid work model based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

In this role, you will shape strategic procurement collaborations that create value for Siemens and other leading companies. You will develop and lead the Americas alliance agenda, identify opportunities for collaboration, and convert them into sourcing initiatives, innovation projects, and best-practice exchanges that help Siemens and its alliance partners build sustainable competitive advantages.

You'll make an impact by:

Strategic Project Leadership

  • Leading cross-company sourcing initiatives involving Siemens and external alliance partners.
  • Identifying and prioritizing alliance opportunities based on business value, partner interest, market conditions, implementation feasibility, and risk.
  • Developing collaborative sourcing strategies across indirect procurement categories, including IT, logistics, fleet, travel, professional services, workshop and laboratory equipment, and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO).
  • Managing sourcing initiatives from requirements alignment and request-for-proposal development through supplier evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendation.
  • Coordinating eSourcing and eAuction activities when appropriate.

Analysis and Business Value

  • Analyzing current and potential procurement-alliance opportunities, markets, technologies, suppliers, and commercial models.
  • Developing business cases, bid comparisons, cost analyses, total-cost-of-ownership models, and executive recommendations for collaborative initiatives.
  • Maintaining a prioritized pipeline of Americas alliance projects aligned with Siemens procurement and business priorities.
  • Planning and facilitating benchmarking sessions and best-practice exchanges with external alliance partners.

Innovation and Collaboration

  • Leading or supporting alliance initiatives involving supplier innovation, sustainability, process harmonization, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.
  • Creating data-based solutions and applying modern procurement and analytical tools to support decision-making.
  • Facilitating workshops and meetings with external partner companies and actively shaping collaboration among participating organizations.
  • Connecting the Americas alliance agenda with colleagues and initiatives in other regions when priorities intersect.

Governance and Stakeholder Management

  • Building trusted relationships with alliance partners, Siemens procurement leaders, category teams, business stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Facilitating alliance governance meetings, executive reviews, workshops, supplier forums, and strategic-planning sessions.
  • Preparing key performance indicator reports, presentations, sourcing-pipeline updates, and decision materials for senior management.
  • Driving alignment and accountability across participating companies, resolving competing requirements, and escalating material risks or decisions appropriately.
  • Representing Siemens professionally in external alliance meetings.
  • Ensuring all alliance activities comply with applicable antitrust requirements, confidentiality obligations, Siemens policies, and approved information-sharing protocols.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or alliance management.
  • 7+ years leading end-to-end request-for-proposal processes and sourcing projects.
  • Commercial background that includes market analysis, business-case development, cost or total-cost-of-ownership analysis, supplier evaluation, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated project or program leadership, including independently managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and presentation capabilities, including translating complex information into concise recommendations for management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Power Query, dashboards, or procurement analytics.
  • Working knowledge of eSourcing, eAuction, and procurement platforms such as Keelvar or comparable solutions.
  • Background collaborating across cultures, business functions, vendors, client companies, and time zones.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship (current Siemens employees holding an active visa will be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background managing senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across organizational and company boundaries without direct authority.
  • Practical use of data and modern digital tools to improve procurement decisions and processes.
  • Background with procurement alliances, consortium sourcing, joint tenders, or other multi-company collaboration models.
  • Knowledge of indirect procurement categories such as IT hardware, software, telecommunications, logistics, fleet, travel, professional services, or MRO.
  • Application of AI-enabled tools to sourcing, market intelligence, analytics, or workflow improvement.
  • Familiarity with antitrust and confidentiality considerations in collaborative sourcing arrangements.
  • German or Spanish language skills.
  • CPSM, PMP, or a comparable procurement or project-management certification.
