Regional & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with plant managers, operations, maintenance, EHS, and quality teams to ensure operational readiness
  • Align regional project execution with global engineering, technology, and sustainability strategies
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain for equipment sourcing and contractor management
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex project challenges

Contractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Select, manage, and oversee EPC firms, OEMs, and engineering consultants
  • Lead contract negotiations, performance reviews, and cost control
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and site requirements
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and global stakeholders

Safety, Quality & Sustainability

  • Champion a strong safety culture across all projects (EHS by design)
  • Integrate sustainability, energy efficiency, and decarbonization objectives into project scope
  • Ensure quality assurance during design, construction, and commissioning
  • Lead project risk assessments, HAZOPs, and design reviews

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Project delivery (on-time, on-budget, scope adherence)
  • Safety performance (TRIR, zero incidents)
  • Capital efficiency and ROI
  • Standardization and replication across sites
  • Operational readiness and startup performance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
  • 8–12+ years of engineering and capital project experience in manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing multi-site or regional capital project portfolios
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and materials science environments
  • Demonstrated experience with capital governance and stage-gate project execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA
  • Experience in materials science, advanced ceramics, metals, polymers, refractories, composites, or specialty chemicals
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization
  • Exposure to sustainability, energy transition, or advanced manufacturing technologies

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability
  • Financial acumen and capital planning expertise
