    Description

    Job Title: Regional Safety Manager

    Reports to: VP Corporate Safety

    Level: Salaried

    SCOPE

    Chiefly responsible for ensuring the highest possible level of operational safety and asset protection across the West Texas and North Texas region - including oversight of the environmental health and safety program to reduce and control exposure to injury and accident risks, while ensuring operational regulatory compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure compliance with Target Hospitality's corporate safety strategy and vision.
    • Assist in driving, managing, and elevating safety programs and initiatives to best-in-class status.
    • Drive a proactive and positive safety culture.
    • Lead assigned staff by providing oversight, direction, and mentoring to personnel.
    • Ensure thorough oversight and management of all incident and near miss investigations, including process improvement, corrective actions, and preventative measures.
    • Ensure all workplace and construction activities comply with OSHA, the Target Hospitality safety program, and job-specific safety programs.
    • Manage and analyze safety metrics to identify trends across the organization, and recommend corrective actions to the VP Corporate Safety as needed.
    • Oversee safety training programs and materials, and provide training to employees and subcontractors as needed.
    • Lead the OSHA inspection and conference processes.
    • Stay current on, interpret, and advise on applicable federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
    • Assist in the administration of the workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to reduce identified workplace hazards and employee lost time.
    • Serve as a thought leader across the field and the industry on environmental, health, and safety matters.
    • Participate in safety and industry seminars, networking, and committees.
    • Other duties and special assignments as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BS in Safety and Health or a related degree, and/or equivalent experience.
    • 10+ years of experience in safety and environmental health, with an emphasis on commercial construction environments.
    • An innate ability to lead a team and empower others to drive results.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, in English.
    • Applies a customer-centric mindset to all work efforts.
    • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated.
    • Exhibits a strong commitment to Target Hospitality's values.
    • A team player willing to interface and partner with colleagues across all areas of a rapidly growing organization.
    • Some travel required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500.
    • CSP, CHST, or a similar professional certification.
    • Strong knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques, and methods.
    • Impeccable understanding and knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations, and policies.
