Regional Sales Representative – Custom Gearing & Power Transmission Solutions

We are a well-established precision manufacturer specializing in custom gearing, gearboxes, and engineered power transmission solutions, serving critical industries including oil & gas, mining, steel and aluminum processing, marine, power generation, rail, defense, and heavy industrial manufacturing.
About the Role
The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth for custom gearing, gearbox manufacturing, gearbox repair/rebuild services, and engineered power transmission solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy across Texas and surrounding states.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities with OEMs, EPC firms, industrial end-users, mills, refineries, power plants, mining operations, ports, and heavy manufacturing facilities.
- Generate new business opportunities for custom gear manufacturing, custom gearbox design and manufacturing, gearbox rebuild and repair services, reverse engineering projects, replacement gearing and spare parts, and field service and engineering support.
- Build and maintain relationships with plant managers, maintenance managers, reliability engineers, purchasing teams, and executive leadership.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships.
- Conduct regular customer visits, plant tours, and technical sales presentations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, and manufacturing teams to develop customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipelines.
- Understand customer applications and identify gearing or gearbox solutions.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
- Assist customers with gearbox rebuild evaluations and replacement opportunities.
- Present the company's engineering, manufacturing, quality, and repair capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams on complex application requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial B2B sales experience.
- Proven track record of developing new business within manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Experience selling engineered products, industrial equipment, power transmission products, rotating equipment, gearboxes, bearings, motors, drives, or related industrial solutions.
- Strong consultative and technical sales abilities.
- Ability to travel throughout the territory (50-70%).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gearboxes, gearing, power transmission, rotating equipment, industrial maintenance, reliability, or heavy manufacturing.
- Existing relationships within Texas industrial markets.
- Engineering, manufacturing, or technical background.
- Experience working with OEMs and industrial end-users.

- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure. (salary range is on a BASE, this is a commission and bonus based role)
