Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Power IDEA's programs and fundraising (about 40%)

• Recruit,train,andleadvolunteersforIDEA'sFundDevelopmentevents,USPrograms, food distributions, disaster response, and medical missions.
• Partner with IDEA teams from the start of planning to design volunteer experiences people love, then follow up and invite volunteers to their next step.
• Recruit emerging leaders for international volunteer trips to see IDEA's projects firsthand.

Conveneandconnectyourcommunity(about40%)

• Build relationships with MSAs, young professional groups, masajid, nonprofits, and social enterprises across your region, and show up at their events.
• HostamonthlyIDEANightinyourhomecity,buildingtowardalargeRamadanIDEA Night with iftar, fundraising, vendor booths, and local organizations.
• Runquarterlyconveninginothercitiesinyourregion,suchaspitchdaysand hackathons for good.
• Findandsharethestoriesoflocalchange makers.
• Turn relationships into support for IDEA's work, in partnership with our Fund Development team.

Trainandgrowleaders(about20%)

• LeadtwoIDEAFellowshipcohortsayear:athree-monthleadershipprogramfor emergingchange makers.
• Deliverworkshopsonorganizing,storytelling,andsocialinnovation,andhelppartner organizations build their capacity.
• GuidevolunteersintoIDEA'sonlineleadershiptrainingandsupportthemfromtheir firsteventtoleadingtheirownprojects.

 Qualifications and Competencies:

• Abachelor'sdegreeinarelatedfield,orequivalentprofessionalexperience
• 3+yearsincommunityorganizing,volunteermanagement,programcoordination,or similar work
• Experienceplanningandrunningevents,fromsmallgatheringstolargepublic programs
• Experiencedesigningorleadingtrainings,workshops,orleadershipprograms
• Experiencebuildingpartnerships,andaninterestinrelationship-basedfundraising
• Strongcommunicationskillswithaudiencesfromstudentstoexecutives
• Comfortmanagingabudgetandkeepingaccuraterecordsindigitaltools
• Abilitytoworkeveningsandweekendsandtravelregularlyacrosstheregion'sfive states (expenses covered).

Bonus points for: experience with fellowships, social entrepreneurship, impact investing, corporate employee resource groups, or storytelling and video, and familiarity with Muslim community institutions.
