Position Details

Position Details:

• Pick up or deliver intermodal containers to and from area rails and customers.
• Rail yards include BNSF, NS, CSX, CPKC in Kansas City and St Louis areas.
• Markets include but are not limited to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska. Also, pickup containers at the rail to drop off at various customers within a 300 mile radius of Kansas City or Edgerton.
• All No Touch freight.

Special Requirements:

• Drivers will run out of the Edgerton (Kansas City) MO and St. Louis rail yard. The main office is located @ 30700 W 191ST ST, Edgerton KS 66021.
• Drivers are required to take the tractor and empty container home or to a safe secure location for time off. Or have the ability to utilize one of our many J.B. Hunt facilities (Edgerton KS, Kansas City MO, St Louis MO, Lowell AR, Cedar Rapids IA)
• JB Hunt is a safety-first company and requires continuous training including Monthly Briefings, Quarterly Trainings, Situational Training and Smith System Recertification. These training formats will be online, classroom, or on yard based.
• This position utilizes JB Hunts proprietary app "JB Hunt Drive"

Additional Information:

• Operation is staffed 24/7.
• 100% automatic fleet, 90% Freightliner100%
• Trucks have 1500W inverters
• Passengers/pets are not permitted.
• Drivers will have 120days to get Hazmat - account will reimburse with receipt.
• All drivers are expected to represent the company and be in uniform while on duty.
• New hires are provided 3 JB Hunt Shirts during orientation week.
• Drivers are provided an annual allotment of $150 for uniforms.
