Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional position-specific duties.POSITION SUMMARYThe Registered Behavior Technician will have the opportunity to practice under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA. The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. The RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. It is the responsibility of the RBT supervisor to determine which tasks an RBT may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the direction of the Director of Exceptional Student Services and supervised directly by the district Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Technician will be part of a district behavior team.Will meet and collaborate with the team on a regular basis to develop action steps to address students' behavioral needs district wide.Under the direction of the BCBA, work with paraprofessionals one-on-one and in small groups to provide training as needed.Assist the BCBA in conducting district in-services, training all relevant staff on the implementation of proactive behavioral strategies.Observe student behavior in order to implement appropriate positive behavioral interventions.Collect ABC data in collaboration with other staff to inform a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) (when necessary) and follow up with a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSThe RBT reports to the site administrator. The RBT will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions.
