About the Role:Candis Inc is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Medication Aide to join our care team in Roanoke, VA. Responsibilities:- Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
- Document medication administration and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Monitor residents for medication side effects, adverse reactions, and overall well-being
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide compassionate personal care support
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper medication storage and handling
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
Requirements:- Current Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification in the state of Virginia
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Prior experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or residential care setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
