Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $75.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 Hours, 6:45 AM 3:15 PM, Monday Friday. Occasional late days, typically 4 5 days per month; it is rare that staff will work in the lab after 5:00 PM on those days.
  • Call Requirement: Call one day a week and every fifth weekend.
  • Float Requirement: Will float as needed.
  • Weekend Requirement: None.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Cardiac Cath Lab contract nursing position in a fast-paced, procedurally focused environment. Patients are referred to the Cath Lab with a range of cardiovascular diagnoses or symptoms, often with suspicion or confirmation of heart or vascular disease. Diagnoses include coronary artery disease (stable angina, unstable angina/NSTEMI, STEMI), heart failure, valvular disease, congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, pericardial disease, and pre-operative evaluation. Special procedures performed in this unit include Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) balloon angioplasty and stent placement, PFO/ASD closure, cardiogenic shock, CTO, and more. Major special equipment includes Impella, Penumbra, EKOS, Roto, Ultrasound, Shockwave, and ACIST systems, as well as the client Mac Lab system. Unit systems include Pyxis, SBAR, and Epic. Staffing ratios are 1:1. Unit orientation is 16 hours. Scrubs are provided.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Onsite position; physical presence in the Cardiac Cath Lab required
  • Occasional late days, typically 4 5 days per month
  • On-call one day per week and every fifth weekend
  • Floating as needed within the unit
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

  • Scrubs are provided by the facility.
