Role Overview
The Registered Nurse – Clinical Research Lead supports an oncology ambulatory setting and is responsible for the implementation and conduct of clinical trials involving investigational anti-cancer agents. Working in close collaboration with Physicians and the research team, this role provides leadership across program development, operational execution, regulatory compliance, and research account oversight in accordance with FDA and clinical research guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and execution of oncology clinical trials involving investigational therapies
Collaborate with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure protocol adherence
Oversee program development, day-to-day operational conduct, and workflow optimization
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GCP, and all applicable research guidelines
Manage and monitor research account accounting and study-related documentation
Coordinate trial activities including subject management, data integrity, and reporting
Serve as a clinical and operational resource for research staff and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certification
Education
Experience
Prior experience in clinical research, preferably in oncology
Experience in an ambulatory care setting strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of clinical trial operations and regulatory compliance
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work collaboratively in a research-driven clinical environment
Work Environment
Oncology ambulatory clinical setting
Direct collaboration with Physicians and research professionals
Emphasis on regulatory adherence, patient safety, and protocol accuracy
