Registered Nurse Coordinator Patient Placement

Schedule: Nights | Part-time

What You Will Do:

• Orchestrate Centralized Care Flow: Lead and coordinate our centralized bed management system to streamline admissions, manage transfers, and maintain optimal hospital capacity without sacrificing speed or quality of care.
• Collaborate with Clinical Teams: Partner directly with unit nurses, physicians, and clinical staff to track real-time bed availability, anticipate upcoming discharges, and proactively plan patient placements. 
• Ensure Clinical Appropriateness: Serve as the expert gatekeeper by evaluating all incoming admissions and transfers for medical necessity and unit suitability, taking swift action when resources or criteria fall short. 
• Empower Admissions Staff: Provide strong direction, coaching, and support to our Admissions Coordinators, driving operational efficiency and fostering a supportive team environment. 
• Analyze key patient flow metrics, spot systemic bottlenecks, and formulate data-driven solutions to present directly to executive leadership.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences:

• 2-3 year's experience as RN in Medical Surgical, ICU, or Behavioral Health
• Cerner experience strongly preferred
