Job Description
A healthcare organization in Albany, New York is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing support for pediatric and young adult residents with disabilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Nights
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time; flexible Monday through Sunday scheduling based on facility needs
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: In-person, skilled nursing facility
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and ongoing coverage for pediatric and young adult residents
- Administer medications, treatments, tube feeds, and IV therapies in accordance with policy
- Complete admissions, head-to-toe, and clinical change assessments as needed
- Document resident care accurately, including orders, notes, incident reports, and care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and supervise LPNs and CNAs as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in an Outpatient and/or Skilled Nursing setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in NICU, PICU, and/or Critical Care
- Experience caring for pediatric and adolescent patients
- Ability to perform hands-on care and provide direct supervision of LPNs and CNAs
