What Youll Do
- Provide inpatient hemodialysis care using BBraun dialysis machines.
- Care for patients receiving hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis; peritoneal dialysis experience is not required.
- Access fistulas and dialysis catheters safely and effectively.
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and apply sound clinical judgment.
- Work independently and autonomously in inpatient dialysis settings.
- Complete required EKG competency testing before arrival.
- Travel between assigned facilities as needed and report to the designated location for each shift.
- Participate in scheduled call coverage, including 12-hour call shifts.
What You Need
Required
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- At least 1 year of inpatient dialysis experience
- Experience accessing fistulas and dialysis catheters
- Strong critical-thinking and independent decision-making skills
- Ability to travel between facilities
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam before arrival
Preferred
- CDN or CNN certification
- Experience as a first-time traveler with at least 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care

This inpatient dialysis assignment is with a leading facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. The 325-bed facility is stroke certified and chest-pain accredited, with care provided across a network of nearby locations. The role includes frequent floating between facilities, a rotating weekend schedule, and a flexible unit culture supporting hemodialysis services.
