Our emergency department is a level III trauma center with 53 beds available. We see patients from all ages including neonatal & geriatric and diagnoses. On this unit you can earn the following certificates TNCC ENPC SANE CEN TCRN and CPEN. The emergency department has a robust Interprofessional Practice Council lead by bedside team member where nursing provides and support staff come together to discuss opportunities to make changes at the bedside. There are opportunities to grow in your career through the SANE training emergency and trauma certification and support for further formal education.

Qualifications

Requires an Associates of Nursing ASN Bachelor of Nursing BSN preferred.

Requires an active Registered Nurse RN license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact NLC RN license.

Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unitdepartment specialty according to patient care policies.
