Position Overview
Type of Position: Travel
Description:
RN - Endoscopy / GI (Level 3) | New YorkSchedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• On-call required for overnights and weekends
• 5 × 8-hour shifts or 4 × 10-hour shifts

Job Duties

• Answering patient questions and addressing their concerns
• Observing patient vital signs
• Sedating patients before procedures
• Recovering patients after procedures
• Administering the necessary medication to patients
• Completing all necessary documentation including patient notes and discharge documents
• Preparing the instruments, equipment, and supplies for the procedure
• Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use
• Providing assistance to Doctors throughout the procedure
• Administering IV drips

Requirements

• New York State (NY) RN License - NY license only
• BLS Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) only
• ACLS Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of previous endoscopy procedure experience
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification required
• Conscious sedation experience required
• Expert IV insertion required
• Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia required
• Experience performing intake for GI procedures required
