• Shift / Schedule: Evening (3 12 Hours), 14:00 2:30

Job Summary

This is a travel/contract Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room (ER) at an acute care hospital in Torrance, CA. The position offers an elevated seasonal winter rate. This assignment is a high-priority MSP placement with immediate start availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float to Pediatrics as needed; support will be provided if a float situation arises
• Float between like units, including possible float to Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro
• Perform charting and documentation using Epic
• Work every other weekend (6 8 shifts per contract)
• Adhere to all facility compliance, scheduling, and RTO policies

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency Room RN
• Ability to manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a high-acuity ER environment
• Willingness and ability to float to Pediatrics when required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Commitment to weekend rotation (every other weekend, 6 8 shifts per contract)
• Compliance with all facility scheduling requirements, including RTO submission at time of submission

Education Requirements

• Active RN License required (Pending License not accepted)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Room required
• First-time travelers accepted

• RTO Restrictions: RTO must be included at time of submission requests submitted after signature will not be guaranteed.
• Rate Change Notice: This position offers an elevated seasonal winter rate. On 2/27, rates will return to standard amounts. Contact the recruiter for specific rate details.
• Cancellation Policy: Canceling due to a rate change after signature will result in a system DNR.
• Local Radius: 50 miles or less
