Required Qualifications Licensure
- Active California RN License
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- CPI, TEAM, or TEAM-A Certification
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage according to acuity.
- Deliver emergency nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care utilizing the nursing process.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in trauma activations, stroke alerts, STEMI protocols, and emergency response situations.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise support staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
