Position: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Work Wise Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Our company is dedicated to providing high-quality permanent healthcare staffing services to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Grapevine, TX area. As a full-time nightshift employee, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and provide exceptional care to expecting mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with delivery

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care

- Monitor fetal heart rate and uterine contractions during labor to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby

- Perform assessments and provide interventions to manage pain and discomfort during labor

- Assist with postpartum care, including breastfeeding support, newborn assessments, and postpartum education

- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records

- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as needed
