Registered Nurse

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses for opportunities with a busy outpatient Surgery Center in the Western Triad area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with ASC, PACU, procedural, or recovery experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and working closely with physicians and clinical teams.

Position Details

Pay: $29.00–$36.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, beginning at 6:15 AM
Hours: End time varies based on patient volume, typically between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM or later as needed; 40 hours per week guaranteed
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire; direct-hire consideration may be available for highly qualified candidates
Location: Western Triad, NC

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients throughout pre-op, procedure, and recovery
• Obtain and monitor pre- and post-sedation vital signs
• Assist physicians during procedures
• Administer medications and monitor patient response
• Provide safe care for patients receiving moderate/conscious sedation
• Monitor airway, recovery status, and readiness for discharge
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses
• Complete pre-op reviews and post-procedure follow-up
• Maintain medication and narcotic documentation
• Ensure emergency equipment and clinical areas are properly maintained
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, nursing, and support staff
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with established clinical policies and standards

Must-Have Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of ASC, PACU, procedural, or similar outpatient surgical experience
• Experience with patient assessment and medication administration
• Experience assisting physicians during procedures
• Knowledge of moderate/conscious sedation monitoring and patient recovery
• Comfortable with IV preparation and IV-related responsibilities
• Strong EMR experience; EPIC experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and ability to take direction

Work Environment

This is a busy outpatient clinical environment where nurses are active and on their feet throughout the day. Staff may support multiple areas of the center, including procedural and recovery/PACU functions.
