    Description

As a Physician Practice Assistant - RN, youll work alongside cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and a dedicated clinical team to provide exceptional outpatient care throughout every stage of the patients heart health journey.

    What Youll Do

    As part of our Hagerstown Heart team, you will:

    • Welcome and assess patients by obtaining health histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
    • Triage patient concerns, identify changes in condition, and communicate findings promptly to providers.
    • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
    • Perform clinical treatments and procedures, including IV placement (when applicable), phlebotomy, breathing treatments, and other provider-directed care.
    • Monitor test results, worklists, and outstanding orders to help ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.
    • Provide patient education, follow-up phone calls, and care instructions.
    • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
    • Monitor and order clinical supplies while supporting efficient practice operations.
    • Assist with training and supporting Certified Medical Assistants and other clinical staff.
    • Complete daily quality control activities and monitor medications and supplies for expiration.

    What Youll Bring

    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
    • Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact multistate license
    • Current BLS certification
