Position Description
Provides patient care at a novice RN level per Texas Nurse Practice Act. Follows nursing process standards and conducts assessments, exams, and treatments. Maintains accurate and timely documentation. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and professionalism. Participates in preoperative calls and routine unit checks. Communicates effectively with patients and families. Performs duties as assigned by leadership. Adheres to regulatory and professional standards. Coordinates and modifies care for complex patients. Reports near misses and supports performance improvement. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and maintains a safe unit environment. Communicates delays and prioritizes patient-centered care. Advocates for patients and resolves clinical/ethical concerns. Maintains professional relationships and assesses satisfaction. Educates patients on ASC policies to prevent misunderstandings. Demonstrates alignment with company/organisation s Mission and Values.

Skills
• Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room
• Additional experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Emergency Room (ER), Infusion Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or hospital setting
• Experience with a single service line
• Basic computer proficiency
• Must be flexible and willing to learn all service lines

Education
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Active Texas RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
