As a Respiratory Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist, you serve as a trusted voice for patients, caregivers, and field staff—helping individuals navigate respiratory equipment, therapy expectations, and CPAP compliance with empathy and clarity. Your work strengthens patient safety, supports adherence to prescribed therapy, and ensures every interaction contributes to better breathing, better comfort, and better health outcomes.

    • Offer calm, clinically sound phone consultations during non‑business hours for AHCC locations, ensuring patients feel supported even when care is remote.
    • Counsel and re‑educate non‑compliant CPAP patients using a compassionate, motivational approach aligned with physician instructions.
    • Gather information from patients, caregivers, and field personnel regarding respiratory equipment concerns, troubleshooting issues with patience and clinical expertise.
    • Initiate patient enrollment into the CPAP Compliance Program, explaining its purpose and health benefits in a supportive, empowering manner.
    • Maintain working knowledge of basic insurance guidelines to help ensure continuity of care and patient access to needed equipment.
    • Maintain all required licensure, certifications, and continuing education to deliver safe, evidence‑based respiratory care.
    • Determine when a physical visit is necessary after remote troubleshooting has been exhausted, coordinating care promptly to protect patient wellbeing.
    • Monitor patient progress according to insurance guidelines and established timelines, advocating for improved respiratory outcomes.
    • Safeguard all patient and company information with diligence, reinforcing trust and confidentiality in every interaction.
    • Provide clinical support to field personnel, offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance that strengthens patient care across all locations.
    • Deliver patient education with empathy—covering equipment use, maintenance, safety, therapy expectations, compliance importance, and potential consequences of non‑adherence.
