Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303



$44.62 - $62.93 an hour - Full-Time Nights, 36 hours per week. 

*Range includes night differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. 


BCH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery team in the Family Birth Center. In this role, you will provide direct, compassionate care to laboring mothers and high-risk obstetrical patients throughout the childbirth experience. Responsibilities include fetal monitoring, labor support, circulating cesarean sections, patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and responding to changing maternal and fetal conditions in a fast-paced acute care environment.


Working collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatal providers, and interdisciplinary care teams, you will support patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and high-risk obstetrical situations while promoting safe, evidence-based care and exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications 

•Colorado RN license in good standing.

•BLS certification required by end of conditional period.

•NRP for Family Birth Center required by end of conditional period.

•ACLS certification within 6 months of hire

•1 year of L&D experience preferred 



Responsibilities

•Provide direct patient care for laboring mothers and high-risk obstetrical patients

•Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments

•Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition

•Provide labor support, education, and advocacy for patients and families

•Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care

•Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

•Support care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and newborn transition settings as needed
