Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery provides expert care and support to women throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassionate patient interaction, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and positive birth experiences.

    • Start Date: ASAP
    • Shift: 7p-7:30a
    • Contract Duration: 8 weeks
    • Requirements: 
    • BLS, ACLS, NRP
    • perm address +50mi from facility 
    • Estimated Pay package: $2100 ( stipend included)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess maternal and fetal vital signs continuously during labor and delivery.
  • Assist physicians and midwives with labor management and delivery procedures.
  • Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and their families.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control protocols.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery nursing preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and emotionally demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
