Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for the daily clinical and operational functions of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, OSHA, infection prevention, and patient safety standards while maintaining survey readiness.
- Lead quality assurance, risk management, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
- Direct clinical staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workflow to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient care.
- Recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and supervise clinical staff in collaboration with Human Resources and organizational leadership.
- Monitor and maintain staff competencies, continuing education, orientation, and performance management processes.
- Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, medication management, narcotic accountability, and supply utilization.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and leadership to optimize patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and clinical standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Serve as a clinical resource and operational leader, providing support during emergencies, staffing shortages, and complex patient care situations.
- Promote fiscal responsibility through effective resource management, productivity improvement, and cost-containment initiatives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative culture that reflects organizational values and service standards.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/License:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current RN license in the State of Indiana.
- Must have CPR, PALS, and ACLS Certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous related experience with demonstrated administration ability and surgical competence.
- Experience in pre, post and intra op preferred.
