Job Description

Our client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Registered Nurse - MS/Tele for their Wilmington, NC location.
 
Requirements:
  • BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Ortho/Neuro/Trauma experience required
  • 2 years of experience required
  • Charge experience preferred
  • Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, & SBAR
  • 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.
  • Previous charge experience: Preferred
  • Patient Ratio Experience: 1:5-6
  • Charting System: Preferred
  • Epic
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Skills:
  • IV therapy/Phlebotomy
  • Blood Product Administration
  • Central line blood draw
  • Peripheral Line Care/Management
  • Phlebotomy
  • PICC line management
  • Starting and maintaining IVs
  • Respiratory
  • Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac
  • Nasal Cannula
  • Non-invasive airway management
  • Oral suctioning
  • Tracheostomy care/management
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Colostomy/ileostomy management/care
  • Feeding tube care and management
  • Neurological/Psychiatric

  • Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary
  • Patient Diagnoses:
  • Severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue. Gen Surg overflow
  • Orthopedic Trauma, Neuro Trauma (small population)
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details:
  • External Fixators
  • Chest Tubes
  • Heparin Drips
  • Central Line Management
