• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $62.00 $66.60 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Evening shift; shift start time is 3:00 PM with flexibility to start four hours prior to or four hours after posted start time based on limited critical department need (4x12 Hours)
• Travel Requirements: Accepts first timers
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a surge/overflow unit located in the ED. This is an ER Surge/Overflow position the traveler will be stationed in the ED caring for overflow/surge patients, and will be floating to different areas within the ED to care for overflow/surge patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for overflow/surge patients stationed within the Emergency Department.
• Float to different areas within the ED as needed to support overflow/surge patient census.

Education Requirements

• MA license required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred

Required Experience

• 2 years of telemetry experience required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: EOW/EOH
• 48 hours per week
• Charting system: Epic
• Flu vaccination: Required Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not Required
• Facility allows 1 of the 3 major upcoming holidays in RTO
• RTO will not be approved on the following days: 12/24, 12/25, or 12/31
• Must be able to start on posted date; no other start dates are being considered at this time

Important Notes

• Travelers must be aware of 2 pass/fail exams at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam. Both exams allow 1 attempt only. If the traveler does not pass, the contract is cancelled immediately. Several study materials will be provided between the compliance process and FDIs.
