Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate perioperative nursing care for various surgical procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies.
Monitor patients vital signs and assist in anesthesia management during procedures.
Prepare operating rooms and equipment, ensuring a sterile environment.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the operating room setting.
Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-stakes environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with ENT, facial plastics, or general surgery cases.
Prior experience with pediatrics is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
Current state nursing license in Georgia or ability to obtain licensing.
Proven track record in surgical nursing roles.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to work scheduled hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
Willingness to commit to a 13-week assignment.
No local candidate requirements; candidates must be within 50 miles of Atlanta, GA.
Certification and licensure reimbursement may be available when applicable.
