The RN works closely with the surgical team, including cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care before, during, and after cardiac procedures. Assist with the transfer of the patient from the operating room to the recovery unit or intensive care unit (ICU), ensuring stable vitals and ongoing monitoring.
