Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room Circulator

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Atlanta Main Women's Breast Care Center
1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Women's Center, Atrium Level, Atlanta, GA 30342

Schedule: Days | 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Monday–Friday | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours/Week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN experience required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Experience circulating for breast surgery and other outpatient surgical procedures preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative nursing standards.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the circulating nurse for surgical procedures by coordinating patient care throughout the perioperative process.
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring appropriate surgical instruments, supplies, medications, and equipment are available and functioning properly.
  • Perform preoperative patient assessments, verify patient identity, procedure, consent, and surgical site in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and enforce infection prevention and aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
