Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN OR) to support a leading healthcare organization in The Woodlands, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing professional who is committed to patient safety, quality surgical care, and effective collaboration with surgeons and the perioperative healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process.

   

• Provide professional nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

   

• Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patients' conditions throughout the perioperative process.

   

• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures as needed.

   

• Support patient safety by following established surgical protocols, infection prevention practices, and clinical standards.

   

• Monitor patients and communicate changes in their condition to the appropriate healthcare team members.

   

• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, treatment plans, and postoperative care.

   

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records.

   

• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team.

   

• Maintain a safe, organized, and properly prepared operating room environment.

   

• Follow facility policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.

   

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

   

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.

   

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

   

• Operating room or perioperative nursing experience preferred.

   

• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.

   

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

   

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
