Pay Range: $61 - $66/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:- As a Registered Nurse – Operating Room / Surgery, you will be stationed in Canton, GA, supporting the Surgery department on a 13-week travel assignment.
- This role involves variable 12-hour day shifts and required call coverage, allowing you to showcase your expertise in the Operating Room.
- Provide professional nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process.
- Assist with pre-operative assessment and preparation of patients.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the OR team.
- Prepare the operating room and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain patient safety and strict adherence to infection-control and sterile-technique standards.
- Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative care.
- Monitor patients and communicate changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team.
- Assist with surgical counts and other OR safety protocols.
- Provide appropriate post-operative care and patient handoff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow Northside Hospital policies and procedures.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room/Surgery RN experience.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- AHA ACLS certification required.
- Previous travel experience required.
- Must be available for variable day shifts, approximately 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.
- Must be available for required call coverage.
- Must live more than 50 miles from Northside Hospital Cherokee.
- Must be available to meet Northside's holiday requirements.
