Requirements

  • CA RN License
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS - preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage nursing care from admission to discharge, ensuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients while performing disease prevention and restorative measures.
  • Respond to medical and environmental emergencies efficiently.

Job Accountabilities

  • Provide patient care in accordance with unit, department, and hospital policies.
  • Coordinate care delivery to maximize efficiency and maintain a safe environment.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing and medical staff to facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of nursing processes and unit activities.

Assessment

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of the patient/family considering various factors.
  • Ensure individualized goal-directed patient care through assessment, care plans, education, and discharge planning.
  • Monitor patients at risk and implement precautions to reduce risks.

Planning

  • Develop and implement the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and other disciplines.
  • Document and communicate patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes with the healthcare team.
  • Evaluate and modify care plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
