JOB DETAILS: *Will accept 13 or 26 week contracts* Ratios: N/A pre post area Shift: 4x9 rotating schedule - 0600-1500, 0700-1600, 0800-1700, or 1200-2000 (48 hours guaranteed) RTO: 7 days MAX Float Requirement: Required to cardiac units Weekend Requirement: No weekends Call: No on-call Holidays: No holidays PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Our outpatient cardiac area nurses check in and get cardiac cath patients, ep patients and radiology patients ready prior to procedure. They start I.V.'s, sign consent with the patient, give ordered pre procedure medications as well as go through Novant's EPIC questioner. PRE/POST Cath lab/EP/IR RN; OUTPATIENT SURGERY
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Manage cath/EP and radiology patients post procedure.
Manage access sites, both arterial and venous, both femoral and radial. This includes radial compression bands, femoral closure devices, venous sutures and pulling femoral sheaths.
Cath patients - same day discharges of patients who are post PCI, so they will need to know DTAP and post cath care in that capacity. EP post device cases and ablations.
Radiology is managing post biopsy and invasive procedures
