- Shift / Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours), 19:00 7:30

Job Summary
This is a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nursing assignment supporting a 41-bed progressive care trauma/telemetry unit primarily geared towards adult patients requiring care after experiencing traumatic injury, typically requiring surgical intervention. The unit serves hemodynamically stable patients including those with injuries related to gunshot wounds or other penetrating injury, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a progressive care trauma/telemetry unit to adult patients recovering from traumatic injury typically requiring surgical intervention.
- Maintain the typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, flexing up to 1:5 as needed.
- Monitor patients using telemetry monitoring equipment (unit capacity: up to 14 patients).
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary support team including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary.
- Care for patients with diagnoses including Surgical Trauma.
- Adhere to weekend shift requirements: 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule.
Education Requirements
- AHA ACLS certification required
- BCLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- TELE (Telemetry) certification required
- Flu vaccine required no exemptions
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience required for first-time travelers
Required Skills
- Ability to pass mandatory medication test (required)
- Telemetry monitoring proficiency
- Progressive care / step-down unit nursing skills
- Trauma patient care experience
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- 36-hour work week only
- 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule
- Night shift: 19:00 7:30 (3x12-hour shifts)
- Unit serves hemodynamically stable adult trauma patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4, flexing up to 1:5 as needed

- Medication test required candidates must be prepared to complete this exam as part of onboarding.
