Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Location: Anschutz Medical Campus
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients in a 34-bed unit with private rooms.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 3:1.
• Work every other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).

Requirements:

• BSN required.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care or Cardiac Step-Down experience.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience (ICU or Intermediate Care).
• Strong working knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care.
• Competence in caring for pediatric cardiology patients, including Single Ventricle, Heart Transplant, and Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Pediatric VAD patients.
• Teaching Hospital experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers will be considered.
