Ball Memorial's adult progressive care unit is an 18-bed unit specializes in providing exceptional care for patients transitioning from progressive to medical levels of care. The most common diagnoses are pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, GI hemorrhage, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, respiratory system diagnosis with chronic ventilator support, and renal failure. Join our dynamic team on the Progressive Care Unit using the innovative Team-Based Acuity Adaptable Model (TBAAM). Our dedicated team includes skilled nurses, patient care assistants, a unit secretary, an RN case manager, a geographically placed physician, a pharmacist, and a dietician.

Qualifications
Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
