    Description

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced  Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-volume, Level IV maternal care unit. This role collaborates closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the labor and delivery process.

    The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while supporting positive clinical outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care appropriate to patient age and condition

    • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and assist with examinations and treatments

    • Coordinate care planning and delivery with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

    • Administer clinical decisions in alignment with professional standards of practice

    • Develop and implement discharge and transfer plans

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and outcome evaluations

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Texas Board of Nursing standards

    • Promote patient-centered, compassionate, and personalized care experiences

    • Serve as a mentor, preceptor, or resource to less experienced staff as appropriate

    • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

    • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and productivity standards

    Required Qualifications:

    • Active Texas RN license or compact/multi-state RN license (clear of stipulation)

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

    • 3–5 years of acute-care Labor & Delivery experience

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Experience Levels:

    • RN III: 3–10 years

    • RN IV: 10+ years
