Location: 3425 S Clarkson St, Englewood, CO 80113

Shift:Nights;1830-1700(6:30 pm- 7:00 amMST); Full-time opportunity for3 days/week, 12-hour shifts(.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period)

Compensation: $36.93/ hour — $53.18/hour; plusapplicable shift differentials for nights and weekends

POSITION SUMMARY

Join Our Specialized Neuro-Rehabilitation Teams!

Join our specialized neuro-rehabilitation units,4 West and 2 East,where you will make a profound impact on the lives of patients recovering from complex spinal cord and brain injuries. As a vital member of our team, you will care for patients with paraplegia, tetraplegia, traumatic brain injuries, and other complex neurological conditions in an environment dedicated to restoring hope and independence.

4 West: Advanced Spinal Cord Injury Care (SCI) (26 Beds)

  • Primary Population:Focus heavily on traumatic spinal cord injuries, including paraplegia and tetraplegia.
  • Diverse Diagnoses:Manage a small census of spinal cord disorders like Guillain-Barré syndrome, West Nile virus, and transverse myelitis.
  • High-Acuity Skills:Gain expert experience in complex wound care, autonomic regulation, neurogenic bowel and bladder management, and advanced respiratory care (ventilators and tracheostomies).

2 East: Dual Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) & Brain Injury (BI)Specialties (19 Beds)

  • Primary Population:Care for spinal cord injury patients alongside a consistent population of brain injury (BI) patients.
  • Dynamic Environment:Serve as a vital overflow unit addressing exceptionally high regional brain injury referrals.
  • Expanded Skill Set:Develop a unique, dual-specialty clinical toolkit by mastering both complex SCI protocols and specialized brain injury cognitive and physical rehabilitation strategies.

WHAT WE ARELOOKING FOR

Licensure & Certification

  • Current Colorado RN license required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ACLS and relevant specialty certification (CNRN or CRRN) preferred

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
  • BSN required within 18 months of hire (CCNE or NLNAC-accredited program) preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience preferred
  • Experience in neuroscience, acute med-surg, or rehabilitation strongly desired

Skills & Strengths

  • Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and trauma-informed care
  • Organized, self-motivated, and skilled in time management
  • Comfortable using EMRs and basic computer systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care aligned with Craig’s standards and the ANA Code of Ethics
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, goals, and long-term self-management techniques
  • Coordinate care with team members across disciplines, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity
  • Safely administer medications and monitor for efficacy and adverse effects
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Apply principles of infection prevention and patient safety to every interaction
  • Supervise and delegate to unlicensed staff and students as appropriate
  • Support orientation of new staff and participate in precepting when assigned
  • Actively participate in Shared Governance, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities
  • Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and team-oriented unit culture
