The goal of Highpoint Health - Riverview with Ascension Saint Thomas's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is to provide the highest quality healthcare to all our patients in the most professional and compassionate manner possible. Our unit is staffed with nurses and other licensed personnel who specialize in the treatment of critically ill patients. We also have physician specialists from many fields who are available for consultations as needed.

How you'll contribute

Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions Additional Information

Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

What we are looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Current RN license in state of TN
• BCLS required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Handle with Care preferred.
