    Job Title: Registered Nurse

    Location: Alaska-Urban and Rural
    Several facilities and locations throughout Alaska. A variety of sizes of hospitals/facilities in several cities, towns and remote locations.

    Unit(s): Most acute care units available:
    PCU, L&D, Cath Lab, Elecrophysiology, ER, Float, M/S, Rehab, LTC, Pedi, Neuro, NICU, PACU, PICU, Endo

    Position Summary:

    As a Registered Nurse you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and high-quality patient care. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the unit. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians to develop and implement care plans. Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills are essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    Job Status:

    Full time 36 or 40 hr/week
    Long term
    8, 10 or 12 hr shifts depending on facility and unit

    Key Responsibilities:

             Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.

             Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.

             Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.

             Recognize changes in patient status and take appropriate interventions

             Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

             Provide education and support to patients and their families.

             Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

    Requirements:

             Current Canadian passport, USA passport or Green Card
    Current registered nurse (RN) license in Canada or USA
    Current VisaScreen Certificate (apply at www.cgfns.org)
    Passed NCLEX-RN

             Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

             BLS

             ACLS, NRP, EFM, TNCC, ECG certs depending on unit

             Minimum 1 year of current clinical nursing experience on the unit for which you are applying

             Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

             Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
