Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager
Full Time | Day Shift
Pay between $55-$63/hour (based on experience)

St. Margaret's Center, an affiliate of the Center for Disability Services, is a 94-bed pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in Albany, NY. Founded in 1883, we provide specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus.
Our team delivers advanced 24-hour medical care in a nurturing, home-like environment where residents can experience a full childhood - including school, activities, family time, and friendships.
Requirements for a RN Unit Manager -
Current and valid New York State RN license
Current and valid CPR certification
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
At least 1 year of leadership or management experience in long-term care
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
What you'll do as a RN Unit Manager -
Oversee daily clinical operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to nursing best practices
Complete and manage MDS assessments and develop, implement, and update individualized resident care plans
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including delegation of duties, performance management, and staff development
Ensure accurate and timely documentation, physician order compliance, and proper handling and investigation of incident reports
Lead care coordination efforts by participating in interdisciplinary meetings, communicating with physicians, and engaging proactively with residents and families
Support quality improvement initiatives, survey readiness, infection control standards, and provide direct resident care as needed, including medication and treatment administration
Smaller care units (average 16 residents per unit)
