What You'll Do

As a School Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

• Provide nursing care and health services to students during the school day
• Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school protocols
• Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, seizures, and other medical needs
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
• Maintain accurate health records and nursing documentation
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, healthcare providers, and administrators
• Promote student wellness through education and preventive health practices
• Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations
• Advocate for student health and safety to support academic success

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred
• Previous school nursing, pediatric, homecare, community health, emergency department, or acute care experience is a plus
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
